This group stresses the notion of Zionism as the national liberation
of the Jewish people and promotes the kibbutz (collective farm) movement.

Association of Jewish Family and Children's
Agencies
This is the umbrella organization for community-based Jewish family and
children's agencies, which provide counseling services and other kinds of
programs for people of all ages. The Association can help people find services
in their communities.
National Council of Jewish Women
NCJW supports projects with particular emphasis on women's issues, children
and youth, aging, and special education programs in Israel.
International Projects
American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee
JDC organizes and finances rescue, relief, and rehabilitation programs
to Jews in 30 countries, especially Israel.
American Jewish World Service (AJWS)
AJWS provides medical and agricultural assistance, primarily to countries
in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
HIAS, Inc.
Begun in 1880 to aid the settlement of Jewish immigrants in the United
States HIAS now assists the resettlement of Jews in the US and helps refugees
around the world.
National Conference on Soviet Jewry
NCSJ runs a variety of programs on behalf of Russian Jews.
North American Conference on Ethiopian Jewry
Provides information about and assistance to Ethiopian Jews
Community
World Congress of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual,
and Transgender Jews.
Founded in1980, this organization provides information about local gay
and lesbian Jewish groups and about regional and international conferences.
American Jewish Committee
Founded in 1906, AJC is a multipurpose organization committed to preserving
the rights of Jews around the world, fostering Jewish life in the US and
Israel, and supporting interfaith relations.
American Jewish Congress
Among it's primary concerns the Congress list civil rights, religious
freedom, and the continued separation of church and state in the United
States.
Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith
(ADL)
Through education, lobbying and interfaith programs, the ADL combats
anti-semitism and other forms of bigotry.
B'nai B'rith International
A large organization that includes programs for community service, public
affairs programming, adult and youth education, and support for Israel and
Soviet Jewry.
Jewish Fund for Justice
A grant-making organization that works with other religious and ethnic
groups to combat poverty in the United States.
Israel
American Red Magen David for Israel
Provides support for Israeli first aid and ambulance services.
Association of Reform Zionists of America
(ARZA)
A Reform movement organization that supports religious pluralism in Israel
and Israeli Reform movement. ******This organization should be especially
important to those of you converting via a liberal movement. As you know,
the Orthodox control the religious aspects of Israel and will not recognize
your conversion as valid. ARZA, along with MERCAZ
USA are working hard to voice our concerns in Israel. This, along with
MERCAZ USA are defiantly worthwhile

MERCAZ USA
This is the conservative Zionist action organization which supports religious
pluralism in Israel and the Israeli Conservative movement.
Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization
of America
Hadassah sponsors Zionist youth programs and supports various programs
in Israel, especially the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center.
